Happy Ukrainian Christmas to all!
This Christmas falls on a work day so the meal is an easy one for me; no traditional 12 courses tonight! I've made this pierogi lasagna instead, with a side of kale & beets. Hope that you are enjoying the day no matter what you are doing.
The pierogi lasagna sounds scrumptious! Hope you had a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was!
DeleteHappy Ukrainian Christmas to you, Melwyk! Looking at the recipes made me hungry for some of the lunch foods of my Moscow years, especially compote and mushroom gravy! And that lasagna sounds great.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, isn't the food great? :)
DeleteI love Russian food and could eat fried potatoes and kotlety constantly! Vanilla ice cream with grated chocolate, which I think I first ate on my very first trip the USSR (1983!), is even still a favorite. :-)
DeleteMmm, fried potatoes. And sour cream. And dill. You are making me want to cook up a storm this weekend!
DeleteHappy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHappy Ukrainian Christmas! Enjoy your pierogi lasagna. It looks so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks...oh man, that lasagna is so good. And makes lots of leftovers too ;)
DeleteHappy Ukrainian Christmas to you! WOW I can only imagine what it would be like to go through a 12 course meal! Sounds delicious though!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! After the 12 courses...there is still dessert...it's no surprise that we Ukrainians are often sturdy :)
DeleteOhhhhhhh, I missed wishing you a Happy Ukrainian Christmas. And I am 100% Ukrainian -- raised almost entirely on pierogi.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of that pierogi lasagna makes me want to be invited to your place next January!
Happy Christmas to you too, Cip! Any time you are in this neck of the woods.... :)
