Happy Ukrainian Christmas!

Happy Ukrainian Christmas to all!

This Christmas falls on a work day so the meal is an easy one for me; no traditional 12 courses tonight! I've made this pierogi lasagna instead, with a side of kale & beets. Hope that you are enjoying the day no matter what you are doing.

  2. Happy Ukrainian Christmas to you, Melwyk! Looking at the recipes made me hungry for some of the lunch foods of my Moscow years, especially compote and mushroom gravy! And that lasagna sounds great.

    2. I love Russian food and could eat fried potatoes and kotlety constantly! Vanilla ice cream with grated chocolate, which I think I first ate on my very first trip the USSR (1983!), is even still a favorite. :-)

    1. Thank you!! After the 12 courses...there is still dessert...it's no surprise that we Ukrainians are often sturdy :)

  5. Ohhhhhhh, I missed wishing you a Happy Ukrainian Christmas. And I am 100% Ukrainian -- raised almost entirely on pierogi.
The picture of that pierogi lasagna makes me want to be invited to your place next January!
