Readathoooonnnnnn!

Here we are, the start of Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon!

I'm ready to go, with a stack of 18 books to choose from, lots of leftovers to eat today, and tea and snacks all queued up. I'll be posting a fair amount today as I check in and update, so fair warnings to regular readers...there will be more posting than usual...

Looking forward to this, and eager to see how many books I can delve into and how many hours I can stick with it! My ultimate goal is to finish 4 books so that's what I'll aim for.

Happy Reading!

I'll start with the Opening Meme, to get all warmed up:

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

I'm in Ontario, Canada

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

I think that would be Shirley Jackson's "We Have Always Lived in the Castle"

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

My homemade fruit salad (and, of course, some chocolate later...)

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I'm a librarian & I tend to set massive reading goals. Yep
I also love sewing, especially when it's inspired by my reading.
I've been reading since age  3, so this Readathon is like a huge celebratory party for 40 years of reading!

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

I haven't participated since 2010 -- not because I didn't want to, but because of schedules -- so it's like new ;) I'll relax more, enjoy my reading, and not push myself to stay up the whole 24 hours -- just enjoy what I can! And remember to move a bit during the day as well, to keep my brain lively.

  4. I seem to remember some late-night dessert from that last RAT you participated in: yes, no? And now I want to read the Shirley Jackson book. Which I did not add to my unreasonably large stack. Uh oh. It's getting even more unreasonable by the blog-visit! Happy read-a-thoning.

    1. Late night desserts...always a good thing :) Yes, it's unfortunate that I can't read everything that I want to, in just one day!
