Saturday Snapshot: Spring Equinox Labyrinth

For this week's Spring Equinox, I made a labyrinth from birdseed and held a walk. The weather here has been extraordinarily warm and summerish so we had to remind ourselves it was just Spring! Ten of us had a lovely evening walking the labyrinth in the light of the setting sun (and discovering that mosquitos are already out and about). A fat black squirrel also enjoyed our labyrinth, sneaking close to grab as many sunflower seeds as he could from the outlines!

I'm sharing this as part of Saturday Snapshot featured by Alyce at At Home with Books.

  6. That looks like a fun tradition! It's been unseasonably cold here.

  7. Ahhh, the ubiquitous Ontario black squirrel... I love them. What a neat pic.
I heard that because of the unseasonably warm weather, the mosquitoes could become a real problem this year -- and I'm hoping it isn't so. Why Noah took two of these things into the Ark with him -- well, we'll just never know.

  9. Heaven forbid that mosquitoes would miss an opportunity to chomp on the unwary!

  13. Glad to hear everyone enjoyed a look at this. It was a truly inclusive occasion -- the wildlife loved it and so did we ;) Nice to have it cleaned up for us by all the birds and squirrels afterward, for sure.
