This week the challenge is to post a photo, so I will post a couple that are related to my busy-ness.... preparing for this:
And this:
<--- Kyiv, Ukraine -->
Edited to add:
Ok, I'm feeling a bit guilty that I didn't make it clear that I didn't take the photo of the Kyiv bookstore. I found it on Flickr, taken by Olechko, who is also a wonderful artist. Check her out. But I do plan to go to that bookstore!
So I will share a couple of photos my sister has taken recently (she is living there). First, a view of Taras Shevchenko street:
Then, a simple picture of a statue of a Cossack:
I'll have to post some of my own once I return!
Hi, found you from Dewey's Weekly Geeks. So, you're going to the Ukraine? How exciting! I think I'll go read more of your posts now.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! The pic of the bookstore looks real good to me... ;)
ReplyDeleteBkclubcare - yes, I'm heading off shortly. Very excited!
ReplyDeleteMelody - although I'm sure many of the books in this picture are in Cyrillic, I still want to go there. Just to walk around...
Wow, outstanding photos! Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteEch, "The Unicorn and the Wasp" was terrible. But, the two part library episode, especially part two is amazing. Trust me. It's now my second favourite Dr. Who episode behind "Blink". Both it and the two parter were written by Steve. The man is a Dr. Who God.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Dr Who fan - I thought the Agatha Christie episode was really good and the next two set in a library, but not one I want to use!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
I enjoyed the Agatha Christie episode for its corny puns etc. But "Silence in the Library" is brilliant. Now I'm wanting to work with all the lights on...
ReplyDeleteOh, happiness is a good bookstore.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Ukraine.
Hope you have a lovely trip!
