You Owe Me a Murder brings me to 52/13
ReplyDeleteSaul Bellow's Canadianness is perhaps a little doubtful, but the fact that the narrator in this one (like Bellow) is a Canadian living in Chicago in is a plot-point, so I say count it... ;-) That brings me up to 14 out of 13.
ReplyDeleteI think you're on safe ground, reese. After all, he was born in Canada and lived the first eight or nine years in this country. Doesn't Dr Spock tell us that those same years are formative?
DeleteYep, there's definitely a Canadian element there!
DeleteChicken Girl brings me to 53/13
ReplyDeleteThe Black Donnellys brings me to twenty-five.
ReplyDeleteI'll never go to Lucan again.
I've never gone, and probably never will after reading about the Donnellys!

ReplyDeleteBad Move brings me to 12/13. One more to go!

With the three books I just added, I am now at 13 / 13. I have very much enjoyed this challenge this year.
ReplyDeleteFinished at 19 books for the year.
ReplyDeleteI ended with 17/13. I just missed the cut-off by a couple of minutes for #18. I guess that just means I have a head start on the next Challenge...
ReplyDeleteGreat way to think about it! You will be first out of the gate :)
